Does my HawkSoft data go to WhereToBegin.ai (the makers of FreeBird)?
No. FreeBird runs on your PC and connects your Claude to your HawkSoft. FreeBird is just a bridge between the two, no customer data is sent to FreeBird/WhereToBegin.ai.
Where is client information processed, and who else receives it?
FreeBird works on your PC, inside your own HawkSoft. What Claude reads for a request goes to Anthropic (makers of Claude) through your Claude account. FreeBird does NOT send client information to any other company.
Can anyone at FreeBird see our clients?
No. Nobody on our team can see your HawkSoft or your Claude chats. If you ever send us a problem report, client details are taken out first.
Does FreeBird store client information?
Not on our side. FreeBird keeps a list of its work on your PC so you can look back at what it did. Forms and certificates it makes save to your Documents folder. Your client records stay in HawkSoft.
Does FreeBird need our whole HawkSoft database?
No. Nothing gets exported or copied. FreeBird only opens the client, policy or report you ask about, the same way you would.
Is client data used to train AI?
Not by us. On the Claude Team plan, your data isn't used to train Claude by default. On Claude Pro, you need to turn that off in your settings. More in our video on client data in Claude.
How does Claude handle client information?
It stays in your own Claude account, under your agreement with Anthropic. Other Claude users can't ask Claude about your clients. You can see Anthropic's security audits at trust.anthropic.com.
How long does Anthropic keep client information?
On the Team plan, your chats stay in your Claude account until you delete them. Once you delete a chat, Anthropic removes it within 30 days. Anthropic's retention page lists the exceptions.
Do you have SOC 2 or other certifications?
Anthropic, the makers of Claude, has SOC 2. You can see it at trust.anthropic.com. WhereToBegin.ai doesn't, because your client data never comes to us. FreeBird's connection to us is encrypted.
Has FreeBird had a penetration test?
Not yet. No outside firm has tested FreeBird. Your IT person is welcome to review it. It's a small app on your PC, and the only website it connects to is wheretobegin.ai.
Do you offer a Data Processing Agreement?
Anthropic's Data Processing Addendum comes with Claude Team and Enterprise, and Claude is where your client data goes. We don't hold client data, so we don't have our own today. Need something in writing? Contact us.
Does FreeBird know my HawkSoft password?
No. You sign in to HawkSoft yourself. FreeBird never reads, types or stores your password.
Is FreeBird made or supported by HawkSoft?
HawkSoft and their team are aware of FreeBird, BUT FreeBird is made by WhereToBegin.ai, an independent company. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by HawkSoft, Inc.
What can Claude do in HawkSoft?
Look up clients and policies, add leads and customers, change policies, add claims, make certificates and ACORD forms, and write log notes. You say yes before anything changes.
Can Claude work with tasks and activity notes?
Yes. Claude can add tasks, move their dates, mark them done and write log notes. Try "Mark the renewal tasks on Copperline as done."
Can Claude review documents stored in HawkSoft?
Yes. Claude can see every file on a client and their policies. Try "Compare this renewal dec with what we have." Claude shows you the differences, and nothing changes unless you ask.
Can it handle multi-step work like endorsements?
Yes. Claude can read the request, find the client, make the change and write the log note. You approve the plan once. It can also go through your service inbox and write replies for you to send.
Can we build our own workflows?
Yes. FreeBird just connects Claude to HawkSoft, so what you build in Claude is yours. Once something works, tell Claude "save this as a skill." On Claude Team, you can share it with your whole agency.
Does it work with Outlook or AgencyZoom?
Outlook, yes. Claude can read your email, FreeBird can file emails to the client, and Claude can write replies for you to send. AgencyZoom, no. FreeBird only connects to HawkSoft. See how to connect AgencyZoom to Claude.
How is FreeBird different from AI platforms for agencies?
FreeBird isn't a platform you move into. It's a small app that connects Claude to your HawkSoft, so your client data doesn't sit on our servers and you decide how your workflows run.
Will Claude change things in HawkSoft without asking?
No. Claude shows you the plan first, and nothing changes until you say yes. Looking things up doesn't change anything, so that doesn't need a yes. If you want, log notes and tasks can skip the question. Everything else always asks.
Can we restrict people to read-only?
Not in FreeBird itself. FreeBird can only do what that person can do in HawkSoft. If someone can't edit in HawkSoft, they can't edit through FreeBird either.
Can employees have different permission levels?
Yes, through HawkSoft. Everyone signs in as themselves, so a CSR and a producer keep the same limits they have today.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes. Every change is saved under that person's HawkSoft login, and every log note FreeBird writes ends with [FreeBird]. FreeBird also keeps a list on the PC of what was asked, what was approved and what got done.
Can it send emails or cancel a policy?
No. FreeBird never sends emails, texts or e-signatures, and never cancels or voids a policy. Claude can draft a reply, and you send it.
Who is responsible if something is wrong?
Your agency, same as any work your staff does. You approve every change, and Claude shows you what it did afterward. Have a licensed person review what goes out, and ask your E&O carrier how they treat AI.
Which Claude plan do I need?
A paid plan. WhereToBegin.ai recommends Claude Team for agencies, at about $25 per person a month with at least 2 people. Your data isn't used to train Claude by default, and you can share skills across your agency. Claude Pro works too, but turn off training in your settings.
Do I pay anything extra to Anthropic?
No. FreeBird uses the Claude plan you already pay for. There's no API account and no extra usage bill. Your plan's normal limits still apply.
How much does FreeBird cost?
